Lamp (bulb) replacement
Replacement lamp details can be found on the label around the
cap. Handle lamps around the rim taking care not to touch the centre.
It is important that, to maintain the fire safety and sound insulation
properties of your Snaplite downlighter that the correct replacement
lamps are fitted. |

We recommend that our outer shield (FS-OS)is fitted to take up any irregularities
around the cut out. Please contact 0870 443 7735 to purchase additional
shields when not supplied as standard.
Operating under insulation
The ideal location is a well ventilated one.
However, with modern building requirements this is not always possible.
Snaplite and its transformer have been designed and tested such that
they will operate together perfectly when covered by insulation. However,
do not fit in shallow voids where the downlighter and transformer are
compressed by the insulation. The transformer is supplied pre-cabled
to a length of 0.5M and it is good practice to place the transformer
at the maximum distance possible from the downlighter. (both items are
sources of heat and placing them far apart minimises their effect on
the void ambient temperature)
